What if the person does not want to be found?
This matters. For sensitive family, reunion, and reconnection searches, CVI may recommend respectful outreach first so the person can decide whether they want to be in contact. CVI will not help with harmful, unlawful, harassing, or unsafe locates.
Is it legal to find someone?
Yes, locating people for legitimate, lawful reasons is work licensed investigators do. CVI will not assist with stalking, harassment, protective-order violations, revenge requests, illegal access, or anything that could put someone at risk.
What do you need from me to get started?

Will you give me their address?

What if CVI cannot find them?
Sometimes a trail truly goes cold. CVI will tell you honestly when that happens and explain why, rather than stringing you along or charging for work that no longer makes sense.
Can you help find a birth parent or biological relative?
Yes, many adoption and birth-family searches can be supported, but they are handled with extra care and discretion because the emotional stakes can be high for everyone involved.
